Job Description
The Economic Affairs Officer at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable development and regional connectivity within the Asia-Pacific region. 🚀 You will engage in economic analysis, monitor financing for development issues, and provide policy recommendations, particularly focused on financing the just energy transition. 🌱 Your responsibilities will also include drafting reports, supporting intergovernmental bodies, and collaborating with various stakeholders. A Master’s degree in finance, economics, or related fields, along with at least seven years of relevant experience, is required. Fluency in English is essential, while knowledge of additional UN languages is a plus.
