Economic integration adviser for the Minister of Commerce and Industry
Job Description
The Economic Integration Adviser will play a crucial role in supporting Timor-Leste’s accession to international trade agreements, particularly regarding the WTO and ASEAN, as part of a 3-year project funded by the European Union. This position involves providing strategic advice to government officials, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the implementation of agreements that enhance the country’s economic integration and capacity. The role is flexible, allowing for home-based work with some travel expected. The contract will span six months starting July 1, 2025, and the successful candidate should possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field, and at least six years of experience in international trade or economic development. Fluency in English and Tetum is required, and knowledge of Portuguese is a plus. ✈️🌏
