Job Description

The Human Rights Officer/Legal Officer position is located within the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and Israel. In this role, you will support the Legal Advisor by providing critical legal guidance on human rights matters while conducting thorough analyses and research relevant to the investigation. Your responsibilities will include advising on legal frameworks, gathering and assessing information, and identifying trends related to human rights violations. You will play a key part in ensuring that gender perspectives are integrated into the legal analysis. A Master’s degree in international law or related fields, alongside at least seven years of relevant experience, is essential. Proficiency in English is required, and fluency in French is desirable.
