Job Description
The Human Rights Officer position is located in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) within the MENA Section in Geneva, where you will report to the Chief of the MENA Section. Your role will involve coordinating human rights activities while considering gender perspectives, conducting research, analyzing human rights data, and supporting various commissions. You’ll define work plans, supervise field verifications, and represent the UN at meetings, all while contributing to training programs on human rights and democracy. A strong professional background in human rights and collaboration is essential, along with a Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Fluency in English and desirable knowledge of Arabic will be beneficial in this compelling and impactful role. 🌍✊📊
