Job Description
The Human Rights Officer position is based in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Tegucigalpa, reporting to the Deputy Head of Office. In this role, you will coordinate activities related to assigned human rights themes, conduct in-depth research, and analyze the human rights landscape, emphasizing gender perspectives. You’ll provide technical support to national authorities, represent OHCHR in various forums, and contribute to building human rights capacity locally. The ideal candidate should have a master’s degree in a relevant field, at least five years of experience in human rights or related work, and fluency in English and Spanish.
