Job Description

As an Indigenous Peoples Expert, you will be integral to developing the Terms of Reference (ToR) for establishing an Indigenous Peoples Caucus for the UNCCD, ensuring it reflects the voice and priorities of Indigenous communities. Your role involves reviewing engagement strategies, organizing consultative events, and gathering insights from various stakeholders while ensuring the representation of Indigenous perspectives aligns with the Convention’s principles. You will collaborate closely with the UNCCD Secretariat and its Parties, drafting and refining the ToR based on feedback, all while working remotely from home until March 2026. A Master’s degree in a related field and at least five years of relevant experience, along with fluency in English and French, are essential for this position. 🌍✊🏼
