Job Description

We are seeking a skilled consultant to assist in the creation of a validated IWT strategic plan for Northern and Central corridors and a sub-regional roadmap for harmonizing inland waterways within multimodal transportation policies in East Africa 🌍. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders, including experts and government officials, to produce a comprehensive roadmap addressing gaps in policy, legal frameworks, and regulatory standards 🚢. The consultant will review and finalize the draft roadmap, organize stakeholder consultations, and formulate strategic plans for the respective corridors over a period of 6 months in Kigali. A master’s degree in a relevant field and at least ten years of experience in trade and logistics are required, with fluency in English and knowledge of French being desirable 📚.
