Join us as a National Safeguards Expert! 🌍 You will play a crucial role in enhancing environmental safeguards in Lao PDR through the UN-REDD initiative. Your main tasks will involve organizing capacity-building workshops, facilitating stakeholder consultations, and supporting the development of training materials for the LNSIS platform. You will collaborate closely with the Department of Forestry and various partners to ensure that the updated National REDD+ Strategy incorporates necessary safeguards. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in related fields and at least nine years of experience in forestry and climate change policymaking. Proficiency in Lao and English is essential. This is a home-based position in Vientiane, expected to last for 7 months. 🚀
