Natural Resource Management Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a Natural Resource Management Consultant to join UNEP for a 6-month home-based project focused on mapping and valuing coastal and marine biodiversity in Tanzania 🇹🇿. Your responsibilities will include creating high-resolution geospatial maps, identifying biodiversity loss or gain, conducting economic valuations of marine ecosystem services, and engaging with stakeholders in Mkuranga and Mkoani Districts. You will also develop an interactive dashboard for visualizing biodiversity data and generating valuable insights for sustainable resource management. Ideal candidates will have an advanced degree in ecology or a related field, at least 7 years of experience in natural resource management, and strong GIS skills 🌊. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Kiswahili is a plus. Join us in promoting sustainable development and protecting our marine environments! 🌍
