Job Description

The Peacebuilding Support Office (PBSO) is looking for a dedicated professional to join the Peacebuilding Commission Support Branch. Reporting directly to the Chief of the Branch, your role will involve guiding country support initiatives, monitoring political developments, and forging strategic partnerships to promote sustainable peace. You will provide vital backstopping to various desks, coordinate work plans, and contribute to high-quality policy papers. With at least ten years of experience in political science or international relations, you should possess strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, as well as fluency in English (knowledge of French is a plus). This temporary position is available until March 1, 2026, and being part of a diverse UN team means you’ll play a key role in fostering teamwork and integrity in our mission for peace. 🌍✌️
