SENIOR PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT OFFICER (SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL SENIOR OFFICER)

Job Description

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is looking for a Senior Programme Management Officer to join the Ecosystems Division at the Mediterranean Action Plan – Barcelona Convention Secretariat in Athens 🌊. In this role, you’ll lead and evaluate programs focused on ecosystem approaches, pollution reduction, and environmental policies while providing scientific advice to management and fostering collaboration with regional partners 🤝. Your responsibilities will include research direction, policy development, managing training workshops, and overseeing budget activities. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a related field, at least ten years of relevant experience, and fluency in English, with French as a plus 🌍.
