SENIOR RULE OF LAW OFFICER

Job Description

The Senior Rule of Law Officer position is based in Juba within the UNMISS Rule of Law Advisory Section, a key player in supporting the government’s justice sector initiatives, peace agreement implementation, and human rights accountability. 🕊️ This role involves collaborating with the Chief of Service to develop mission-wide strategies, enhance coordination among justice institutions, and produce analytical reports to guide legal reforms. Ideal candidates will possess advanced legal education and at least ten years of relevant experience, including five years in field assignments focused on justice and rule of law in conflict-affected settings. Strong English proficiency is required, and this temporary position is available for six months, with the possibility of extension. 🌍👩‍⚖️👨‍⚖️
