We are seeking a qualified professional to join the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as a Consultant focused on the development of best practices for sponge cities 🌍💧. This role involves compiling case studies, utilizing AI and remote sensing for flood risk assessments, and designing a Masterclass to enhance the implementation of nature-based solutions for urban resilience in African secondary cities. The position is home-based with occasional travel, and you will contribute to a vital initiative that addresses climate challenges and promotes sustainable urban development 🌱. Applicants should have a master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 8 years of experience in urban disaster risk reduction. Fluency in English is essential. Not available.
