Job Description

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is seeking an Urban Resilience Consultant 🌍 to support initiatives aimed at developing inclusive, sustainable, and resilient cities. Your role will involve working with public, private, and civil society stakeholders to enhance their capacity in measuring and planning for urban resilience, ensuring investments are informed by risk assessments 🏙️. You will collaborate on building training materials, conducting workshops, and preparing reports, focusing on integrating local disaster risk reduction and climate strategies into long-term urban planning. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Urban or Regional Planning or a related field, alongside experience in urban development and a commitment to capacity building in crisis-prone areas. Fluency in English and Arabic is required 🗣️. This position is home-based for a duration of 3 months.
