Biodiversity Expert Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a Biodiversity Expert Consultant to support the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in advancing the China Trust Fund Project in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region 🌎. This role involves conducting regional analyses, developing project proposals, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF) 🌱. The consultant will assess the status of national biodiversity strategies, create project concept notes, collect and analyze data, and actively participate in meetings to coordinate efforts across UNEP initiatives 🤝. This is a remote, home-based position expected to last for four months, aiming to greatly enhance biodiversity action in collaboration with UNEP’s Ecosystems Division 🌟.
