Job Description

The Carbon Markets and Article 6 Consultant for Panama will play a vital role in enhancing the understanding of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement while collaborating with both local and regional stakeholders. 🌍 This position involves supporting the development and implementation of robust carbon market mechanisms, facilitating capacity-building workshops, and providing essential technical expertise to local institutions. The consultant will produce detailed reports, participate in knowledge exchange events, and gather critical information to enhance the engagement of the private sector in climate initiatives. This opportunity is based in Panama City, requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week over five months and 11 days, while working closely with UNEP’s Climate Ambition and Transparency Team. 🌱 The role calls for a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and four years of professional experience, with fluency in Spanish being essential.
