Job Description

The CCAC National SLCP Expert will play a vital role in supporting the Government of Bhutan to effectively integrate Short-Lived Climate Pollutants (SLCPs) into its Third Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0) by September 2025 🌍. This position involves developing stakeholder engagement plans, creating analytical frameworks for emissions and mitigation assessments, and enhancing public awareness and training related to SLCP management 🍃. Collaborating with national and international experts, the incumbent will design actionable strategies for SLCP mitigation across key sectors while ensuring alignment with Bhutan’s broader climate goals, all while contributing to a monitoring and reporting framework that adheres to the Paris Agreement’s Enhanced Transparency Framework 📊. A strong foundation in environmental sciences and extensive experience in climate-related fields are essential for this role. The position is based in Bhutan and is expected to last for six months.
