Consultant for the development of a guideline for using probabilistic risk assessments in impact-based forecasts and anticipatory action
Job Description
Join us as a consultant to create a guidance document that outlines the input and output data from probabilistic risk assessments and illustrates their relevance to impact-based forecasting. š Youāll also explore how these assessments link with anticipatory action, and compile case studies from the Americas and the Caribbean. This is a home-based position expected to last for 5 months, ideally from July 7, 2025, to December 6, 2025. As part of the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), you will collaborate with a dedicated team aimed at advancing disaster risk reduction strategies. Candidates should have a master’s degree in a related field and at least 15 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Spanish is a plus. š We strongly encourage applications from women and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
