Job Description

The Expert on Solid Waste Management (SWM) Practices and Mitigation Technologies will play a vital role in Mozambique’s efforts to analyze and improve current solid waste streams and management practices. This three-month consultancy aims to propose sustainable waste management solutions that align with the country’s climate reduction goals and upcoming Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). The expert will engage with stakeholders and evaluate existing measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, facilitating data collection and analysis along the way. The position requires extensive experience in solid waste management, strong engagement skills with diverse stakeholders, and fluency in both English and Portuguese. 🌍♻️
