Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion) Specialist to support the Cartagena Convention Secretariat’s GEF-funded project aimed at reducing marine plastics and pollution in Latin America and the Caribbean. As a remote position in the Caribbean and Latin American region, you will design a comprehensive GESI survey and guidance notes in English and Spanish, focusing on understanding the roles of women, ethnic groups, and minorities in waste management. Your expertise will help enhance participation, decision-making, and economic empowerment within the plastics value chain across Jamaica, Panama, and Colombia. The consultancy is expected to last four months and requires a strong background in gender and social inclusion, proficiency in English and Spanish, and familiarity with social survey methodologies.
