Local Carbon Markets Consultant (cookstoves carbon project )
Job Description
We are seeking a local consultant for a 3-month engagement in Zambia to pilot the A6.4 Sustainable Development (SD) tool on an improved cookstoves carbon project transitioning from the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) to Article 6.4 of the Paris Agreement. Your role will involve conducting the necessary assessments, preparing reports on findings and best practices, and ensuring compliance with environmental and social safeguards. Strong communication skills are essential as you’ll be liaising with project partners and stakeholders throughout. If you have at least 3 years of experience in carbon markets or sustainable development assessments, along with a relevant advanced degree, we encourage you to apply! šš” Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of a local language would be a plus.
