Job Description

The Political Affairs Officer will be part of the Mediation Support Unit (MSU) within the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, playing a crucial role in supporting UN mediation and dialogue initiatives 🌏. This position involves coordinating the Standby Team of Senior Mediation Advisors and providing technical assistance relating to political developments and mediation processes ✊. The officer will also monitor regional politics, advise field missions, and prepare analytical reports, ensuring effective collaboration across various UN sectors 🔍📊. A Master’s degree in political science or related fields and at least five years of relevant experience are required.
