POLITICAL AFFAIRS OFFICER
Job Description
The Political Affairs Officer will work within the Office of the Under-Secretary-General for the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), supporting policy coordination, analyzing political trends, and advising on international peace and security issues. Responsibilities include preparing key documents for senior UN officials, monitoring political developments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to recommend actions that address political challenges. To succeed in this role, a Master’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of seven years of experience in international relations or political science are required, alongside fluency in English and desirable proficiency in French.
