Regional Representative
Job Description
The Regional Representative will lead the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Eastern Africa, based in Nairobi, Kenya. This critical role involves implementing programs focused on drug control, crime prevention, and anti-corruption across multiple countries including Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania 🌍. The Representative will provide strategic guidance to national governments, forge partnerships, and ensure effective resource management while overseeing various initiatives. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, the role includes actively participating in UN Country Teams and advocating for the integration of drug and crime issues into broader development agendas 🔗. Applicants should possess extensive experience in international technical assistance and have a graduate degree in a relevant field 🎓. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of other UN languages is welcomed. This position lasts for 364 days, dependent on funding.
