Job Description

The Senior Human Rights Officer position at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Aden, Yemen, involves leading the country’s human rights initiatives, including monitoring, advising on policies, and implementing strategies that promote human rights while considering gender perspectives. You will coordinate with government officials, oversee the work of other human rights officers, and develop comprehensive reports and programs to address pressing human rights issues in Yemen. This role also requires extensive experience in human rights and international relations, fluency in English and Arabic, and the ability to navigate sensitive political environments.
