Job Description
As an Expert in Climate Change Adaptation, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future climate strategy for Mauritania by conducting a thorough assessment of the country’s national adaptation initiatives, as outlined in the updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 2.0). Your work will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to evaluate progress and identify challenges in adaptation efforts, ultimately guiding the development of a more ambitious NDC 3.0. This position requires a strong background in climate change and environmental sciences, with at least 9 years of relevant experience, particularly in Mauritania’s context. You will be based in Nouakchott or the region, working part-time to provide essential insights and recommendations that align with national priorities. 🌿🌍 Your expertise will help ensure that the upcoming climate actions are effective and beneficial to the resilience and sustainability of the country.
